About us

Who are we ?

The owners, David and Claire are long time residents in Malaga; fluent French, Spanish and English are spoken, so any questions can be answered in your own language.

Where are we ?

Padre Aviles is 12km (about 30 minutes) east of Malaga, in the opposite direction to Torremolinos and away from the crowds, yet within easy reach of Malaga city centre.

El Palo and El Candado used to be an old fishing village with the tram running all along the coast.  Of course now it has grown into a small town but fortunately is still very Spanish. El Palo is situated at 7 km from Malaga City centre; a beautiful city which has always pleasantly surprised our guests who had always been put off by the thought of the Costa del Sol.

The old town of Malaga, the birth place of Picasso, is full of lovely cobbled streets, cafes, tapas bar, the beautiful cathedral, the bullring, lovely shops etc.. Horse drawn carriages even can take you round the town.  

The property is 10 mins from the beach and beach front restaurants, 20 mins from the city centre, 35 mins from Frigiliana and Nerja and all major cities Granada (1 hour), Sevilla (2 hours), Cordoba (2 hours), Ronda (1.5 hours) are within easy access due to the new motorway.

How to get to us ?

Many airline companies fly to Malaga International Airport, including Thomson and Flightline, both of whom we've found to be reliable.

The flight takes 2hrs 30 mins from the UK.   We are 30 minutes from the airport and will send you very detailed instructions of how to get here. 

There are lots of car rentals companies at the airport and we would be happy to give you any advice concerning airline and car hire companies.
